Adrian Cristian, MD, MHCM specializes in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Anesthesiology at Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center in Brooklyn. He is the author of Spinal and Brain Cancer Rehabilitation.

 

Dr. Cristian earned his MD degree from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine and completed his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Mount Sinai. He is board certified in both Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Pain Medicine. Dr. Cristian also holds a master’s degree in Health Care Management from Harvard University.

 

Upon completing his medical training, Dr. Cristian spent two years as an attending physician at Glen Cove Hospital before he joined the James Peters Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Center in the Bronx. During his 12-year tenure with the VA, Dr. Cristian served as chief of the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, director of the Pain Management Service, medical director of the Polytrauma/Traumatic Brain Injury Center for the Regional Veterans Integrated Service Network, and medical director for the Regional Amputation Center for the northeastern United States.

 

Dr. Cristian has edited several books and has served as guest editor for Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Clinics of North America on topics related to geriatric rehabilitation, aging with a disability, and patient safety in rehabilitation medicine.
