“We reflect the practices of obstetric gynecology across our country and edit in a way that makes this truly a national textbook as well as an international textbook.” – Dr. Charles Lockwood

Diverse Perspectives

Creasy and Resnik not only brings together world authorities on maternal fetal medicine, but the editors represent different viewpoints from across the country. We cover the entire country — from the east coast to the west coast, including — I’m proud to point out — two editors from Ohio State. So I think we reflect the practices of obstetrics and gynecology across our country and edit in a way that makes this truly a national textbook as well as an international textbook.

About Creasy and Resnik’s Maternal-Fetal Medicine: Principles and Practice

I’ve been reading Creasy and Resnik’s Maternal-Fetal Medicine: Principles and Practice since I was a resident and I am so excited to be co-editor of the new edition. Having read through every edition, I think there is no textbook in obstetrics and gynecology that provides the kind of in depth analysis of topics that are covered here — from the basic science aspects of it to the clinical applications.

What’s New

Besides simply being bigger, due to our expanding knowledge about the field, Creasy and Resnik’s Maternal-Fetal Medicine: Principles and Practice, 6th edition integrates our new understanding of systems biology and genomics into our everyday approach to various obstetrical conditions. The new edition also has a greatly expanded section on imaging and high-risk obstetrical ultrasounds by world experts in obstetric ultrasound. Plus, the new online version allows us to regularly update it, so the textbook is virtually always current.
