David L. Brown, MD is Professor of Medicine, John T. Milliken Department of Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Division, Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. He is the author of Cardiac Intensive Care, 3rd Edition.

 

Dr. Brown received his MD from Baylor College of Medicine. He performed fellowships in Hematology and Cardiology at the University of California, San Francisco, a fellowship in Interventional Cardiology at Cleveland Clinic, and was a Post-doctoral Fellow in Platelet Biochemistry at Gladstone Foundation Laboratories in San Francisco. He is board certified in Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology.

 

Dr. Brown has received numerous awards and recognitions, including Who’s Who in Medical Sciences Education; Consumer’s Research Council of America, Top Cardiologists in America; U.S. News and World Report, Top Doctors in America; and New York Magazine Best Doctors of New York (Cardiovascular Disease).

 

Dr. Brown specializes in general, preventive, and critical care cardiology, coronary artery disease, and sports cardiology. His research interests are derived from unanswered clinical questions that arise during patient care, which he generally seeks to answer by using an assortment of currently available public and private data sets. His statistical methodology involves multivariable logistic regression analysis, Cox proportional hazards analysis, Kaplan-Meier (survival) analysis, and meta-analysis.
