H. Royden Jones, Jr., MD is Clinical Professor of Neurology at Harvard Medical School, serves as the Jaime Ortiz-Patino Chair of Neurology at Lahey Medical Center, and is Emeritus Director of EMG Laboratory, Children’s Hospital in Boston. Recognized as one of the top neurologists in the U.S.,  Dr. Jones is an author of the BMA award winning Netter’s Neurology, 2nd Editionas well as The Netter Collection of Medical Illustrations: Nervous System, Volume 7, Part I (Brain) and Part II (Spinal Cord and Peripheral Motor and Sensory Systems), 2nd Edition (volumes in the Netter Green Book Collection).

Dr. Jones received his medical degree from Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine, and completed his residencies in Internal Medicine and Neurology, as well as a fellowship in neurological physiology, at the Mayo Clinic. He is Board certified in neurology, clinical neurophysiology, and neuromuscular medicine. Dr. Jones’ particular areas of expertise include amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), myasthenia gravis, neuromuscular disorders, and peripheral neuropathy.

In 2007, Dr. Jones received the Distinguished Physician Award from the American Association of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine. He was named a Top Doctor by Boston Magazine in 2011, and also by U.S. News in 2012, which ranked him in the top 1% in the nation in his specialty.
