Jeanne E. Poole, MD is Professor of Medicine and Director, Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology Program in the Division of Cardiology at the University of Washington School of Medicine, Seattle. She is a co-author of Surgical Implantation of Cardiac Rhythm Devices.

 

Dr. Poole received her MD from the University of Washington School of Medicine. After  residencies at the University of Minnesota and the University of Washington, she performed a fellowship in cardiology at the University of Washington. She is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, and clinical cardiac electrophysiology.

 

Her clinical interests include patients with heart rhythm disorders such as rapid rhythms, slow rhythms, identification of episodes of passing out, evaluation for individuals at risk for cardiac arrest, and evaluation for pacemaker or implantable defibrillators.

 

Dr. Poole’s research interests include prevention of sudden cardiac death through use of implantable cardioverter defibrillators, automatic external defibrillation, technologic advancements in implantable devices to treat heart rhythm disorders, and assessing complications of device procedures.
