Mark A. Creager, MD is Director of the Vascular Center at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Cardiovascular Division and Professor of Cardiovascular Medicine at Harvard Medical School in Boston. He also practices in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island. Dr. Creager is the lead author of Vascular Medicine, 2nd Edition: A Companion to Braunwald’s Heart Disease.

After earning his medical degree at Temple University in Philadelphia, Dr. Creager completed his internal medicine residency and a peripheral vascular disease fellowship at University Hospital in Boston, and a cardiology fellowship at University Hospital and Boston City Hospital. He is board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease.

Dr. Creager is a member of the American College of Cardiology, the American Heart Association and the Society for Vascular Medicine. He has received numerous awards and honors for his work, including the American Heart Association Council on Peripheral Vascular Disease Distinguished Achievement Award, the Vascular Disease Foundation President’s Award for Leadership, the Master of the Society for Vascular Medicine, and the Simon C. Fireman Scholar in Cardiovascular Medicine award at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Dr. Creager’s clinical interests include vascular medicine, atherosclerosis and thrombosis.
