Osama O. Zaidat, MD, MBBS, MS is Professor of Neurology, Neurosurgery, and Radiology, and Director of the Neurointerventional Program at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. He is the author of The Little Black Book of Neurology, 6th Edition.

 

Trained as a critical care and vascular neurologist as well as a neurointerventionalist at Case Western Reserve and Duke University, Dr. Zaidat is a board certified vascular and critical care neurologist with extensive expertise in neurointervention and the treatment of endovascular acute ischemic stroke.

 

Dr. Zaidat’s clinical research interests are neurovascular diseases and the treatment of acute stroke using systemic thrombolytics and endovascular approaches; he is the author of more than 90 peer-reviewed articles in these areas. He is immediate past president of the Society of Vascular and Interventional Neurology and Chairman of the Section of Endovascular and Interventional Neurology of the American Academy of Neurology.
