Vincent Chong, MD, MBA, MHPE, FRCR is Associate Professor, Department of Diagnostic Radiology, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore; Chief and Senior Consultant, Department of Diagnostic Imaging, National University Hospital in Singapore. He is the author of Skull Base Imaging.

 

Dr. Chong trained in Diagnostic Radiology in the University Hospitals of the University of Malaya in Kuala Lumpur and the University of Nottingham. He received further postgraduate education from the Royal College of Radiologists, UK; the University of Maastricht, Netherlands; and the University of Singapore.

 

Dr. Chong focuses on oncologic imaging with a primary interest in nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC). He is a recipient of three National Medical Research Council grants for NPC research. He has published 101 articles, 12 book chapters, co-authored a book and edited a monograph on NPC. In recognition for his work, he was appointed a member of UICC Expert Panel (TNM Staging System) on Head and Neck Cancer. Dr. Chong is actively engaged in the International Cancer Imaging Society as a member of the Executive Board of the society and past President.

 

In 2016, Dr. Chong was awarded an ICIS Gold Medal in recognition of his contributions to the International Cancer Imaging Society over many years, his research work and international standing, and his advocacy for the global care of patients in radiology.
