W. Scott McDougal, MD, is the Walter S. Kerr, Jr. Professor of Urology at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. He is the co-author of Campbell-Walsh Urology, 10th Edition Review.

Board certified in urology and surgery, Dr. McDougal is considered one of the nation’s leading experts on kidney cancer, lymph node excision, and penile neoplasm. He is regularly listed in Castle Connolly America’s Top Doctors and Castle Connolly America’s Top Doctors for Cancer. He is also a US News Top Doctor.

Dr. McDougal received his medical degree from Weill Medical College of Cornell University in New York City in 1968. He performed an internship at University Hospitals in Cleveland, Ohio, followed by residencies in surgery and urology. At Yale University Medical School, he completed a fellowship in renal physiology in 1972. He also holds an AB from Dartmouth College, and an honorary AM degree from Harvard.

Dr. McDougal has special expertise in the areas of genitourinary cancers including prostate, testicular, kidney, and bladder. He is a member of the American Urological Association, and is an author many medical articles in the field.
