Paul M. Silverman, MD is the Director of Academic Development for the Division of Diagnostic Imaging, Chief of the Section of Body Imaging and professor in the Department of Diagnostic Radiology at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. He has authored more than 160 articles published in peer-reviewed journals, eight books, 23 book chapters and seven manuals and teaching aids. Among these is Oncologic Imaging: A Multidisciplinary Approach.
Dr. Silverman has had numerous academic and research achievements during the course of his career, and has been the principal investigator for 21 grant-funded research projects and a collaborator for four others. He was named to the Best Doctors in America list in 2001-2002 and received both the Gerald Dewey Dodd, Jr., Chair and Gerald Dewey Dodd, Jr., Distinguished Chair in Diagnostic Imaging at the University of Texas. Additionally, he has been to the International Cancer Imaging Society and was elected as a lifetime member of Strathmore’s Who’s Who for Leadership and Achievement in Occupation, Industry or Profession.
