Justin Shafa, MD is a resident in diagnostic radiology at The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. He is the lead author of Learning Interventional Radiology.
Dr. Shafa earned his medical degree through a combined 7-year bachelors-to-MD program and spent an intern year at UCLA’s general surgery residency.
Dr. Shafa enjoys helping fellow students and residents, especially those in the fields of radiology, surgery, or interventional radiology (IR). He recently created a general IR app that explains various procedures, with the goal of educating patients and helping residents and staff understand and explain the scope of this fast-growing field. The app details more than 100 IR procedures across the various aspects and body systems of IR.
