Description

This edition of a foundation textbook on hemodynamics has been updated to include details of transcatheter therapies for valve disease and 100 new illustrations. This edition also includes access to an ebook version.

 

Purpose

The book provides trainees and clinicians with an overview of important hemodynamic topics. It covers both normal waveforms in addition to multiple pathologies.

 

Audience

It will be most beneficial for clinicians and trainees in the fields of cardiology.

 

Features

The chapters cover all aspects of clinical hemodynamics. It is easy to quickly find information on a topic of interest. The book is well organized with multiple graphics that support the text. There are additional references at the end of each chapter for further reading on each topic.

 

Assessment

This will be an excellent reference for general cardiologists and trainees. It is a broad overview, representing all current topics in clinical hemodynamics and this new edition includes information on mitral and aortic transcatheter therapies.
