In a recent interview with CBS This Morning, Elsevier Author Dr. James Andrews gives us a glimpse inside the life of a pro sports doctor. He talks about how the field of sports medicine has changed over the years and where he sees it going in the future – including the recent research on stem-cell technology that the Andrews Institute has been doing.
At age 70, James Andrews, MD has made a name for himself as one of the most renowned orthopaedic surgeons in sports and is the go-to doctor for many elite college and professional athletes. Famous athletes including Michael Jordan, Brett Favre, Drew Brees, and both Manning brothers, Peyton and Eli, have relied on Andrews to get them back in the game. More recently, Dr. Andrews worked with Washington rookie quarterback Robert Griffin III after he tore his right knee.
