This is the fifth edition of a complete review of dialytic therapies and an overview of renal diseases across the lifespan. It has been updated with resizing and additional color for increased readability of texts, tables, and figures, as well as access to an ebook version.
Purpose
The purpose is to provide a problem-solving tool for the management of acute and chronic kidney disease, particularly in regards to renal replacement therapy.
Audience
The book is aimed at nephrologists, nurses, and other healthcare providers, but will be useful for every person working in nephrology, including technicians, dietitians, social workers, and administrators.
Features
The depth of coverage of hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, and continuous renal replacement over the 29 sections and 98 chapters is impressive. The book also thoroughly covers less common nephrology topics in pediatrics and pregnancy while also providing recommendations for nutrition and psychosocial issues.
