Interview with Hooman Khorasani, M.D.
Why did you feel that it was important to write a book on this topic? What does Procedures in Cosmetic Dermatology Series: Surgical Lifting, 1st Edition add to the field?
Dr. Khorasani, drawing from more than a decade of experience as a fellowship director, recognized a common challenge among his fellows- they often sought answers to specific queries that existing textbooks didn’t sufficiently address. The goal was to create a comprehensive textbook filled with high-impact information, serving as a detailed, step-by-step manual for aspiring surgeons. Complementing this text is an extensive video library, delivering precise instructions and the latest protocols and surgical techniques featured in the book.
What is the most exciting aspect of Procedures in Cosmetic Dermatology Series: Surgical Lifting, 1st Edition? What chapter or topic covered are you most excited about?
Dr. Khorasani’s true passion is eyelid rejuvenation. Among the book’s highlights, the sections of eyelid rejuvenation hold a special place as a testament to his expertise and commitment.
Furthermore, recognizing a significant gap in available resources, Dr. Khorasani took pride in addressing the death of information concerning the establishment of office-based operating rooms for private practices. Notably, this textbook stands out as one of the few dedicating a comprehensive chapter that meticulously outlines the entire process of setting up such facilities, offering invaluable insights for practitioners.
Lastly, our pride extends to our expansive video library, a valuable complement to the textbook. We firmly believe this multimedia resource will significantly enhance the learning experience for our readers, providing an additional visual dimension to augment their understanding and mastery of the content.
