It then discusses risk stratification and diagnostic modalities for suspicious lung nodules, the eighth edition of lung cancer staging, and treatment of different stages of lung cancer, including small cell lung cancer.

Chapters cover special types of lung cancer, follow-up and surveillance after treatment, treatment of tobacco use disorder, lung cancer screening, management of symptoms from lung cancer and its treatment, organization and quality control of lung cancer care delivery. The book is very up-to-date, reviewing most of the landmark studies on the subject, and has ample illustrations, tables, and graphs. As such, it delivers a very high-yield review. The material is organized well and the writing is clear.

Assessment

This is a very good, current review of the management of lung nodules and lung cancer. It should be in the collection of all pulmonologists, thoracic surgeons, and trainees interested in the care of these patients.
