This is a study guide for the American Board of Internal Medicine Board certification examination based on the board review course conducted by The Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School and the course book, The Brigham Intensive Review of Internal Medicine, 3rd edition, by the same author and publisher. The previous edition was published in 2014.

Purpose

The purpose is to provide a set of typical questions and answers that appear on the board certification examination. The authors have assembled the top experts in their fields at Harvard Medical School.

Audience

Each section contains typical questions on the topics with the explanation of the correct answer. There are no specific references; the user is assumed to have access to the course book for those.
