The purpose of this book is to provide an up-to-date, comprehensive resource for healthcare professionals taking care of patients with rare gynecological cancers. Both the physical textbook and the eBook achieve this goal and provide guidance from workup to primary treatment to recurrence and surveillance strategies.

This book is geared toward healthcare professionals and trainees in the field of gynecologic oncology, medical oncology, pathology, and radiation oncology who care for patients with rare gynecologic cancers. The book essentially serves as a comprehensive consultation from experts on these rare gynecological cancers as the authors are all well-respected in the field of gynecologic oncology from well-known institutions.

The book covers rare cancers of the ovary, uterus, cervix, vulva, vagina, and gestational trophoblastic disease. Each chapter is comprehensive and includes epidemiology, diagnostic workup, pathology findings, prognostic factors, primary treatment, treatment for recurrence, and surveillance strategies. Each chapter has high-quality pathology images, staging tables for easy reference, and bullet points or tables summarizing key takeaway messages and treatment guidelines.

This book contains all the current information a treating provider would need to care for women with rare gynecological cancer from well-known authors in the field. The book is focused but still provides comparisons to more commonly diagnosed gynecological cancers. This is likely the most comprehensive book for these rare gynecological cancers.
