Now on its twelfth edition, the growing size of the text demonstrates the necessity of continuing to update the book. The field of neonatology continues to undergo rapid developments, requiring new editions if the title is to remain relevant to clinical practice. The numerous references to literature published within the last five years demonstrate the commitment to providing a comprehensive source of updated evidence-based material to facilitate learning and practical care of neonates.
