This book aims to bridge the gap between anatomical atlases and surgical textbooks. It covers all aspects of surgery and regional anatomy and includes online access.

Purpose

The purpose is to combine multiple modalities of visualization in one to provide an easy reference for students. These include radiological images, intraoperative photos, and medical illustrations. This is a worthy objective as no similar book exists. The online material is useful as it allows on-the-go access without needing to carry a large textbook. The book meets its objectives well and I plan to use it in the future.

Audience

This book is intended for students and surgeons of all experience levels. Its high quality clearly meets the audience’s needs. The authors are well-recognized authorities on the subject and have published extensively.

Features

The book covers all aspects of regional anatomy and is appropriate for general surgeons, neurosurgeons, orthopedic surgeons, and all other surgical subspecialities. The book is logically organized and easy to follow.

Assessment

This book is well done and I will recommend it highly to my colleagues. It is well written without being overly wordy and has high quality images and good clinical correlations.
