The purpose is to produce a text that offers safe, predictable, and reproducible outcomes, which is a most worthwhile objective. The author transfers his substantial experiential know-how into the written word.

The book will appeal to practitioners who partake in facial cosmetic surgery/procedures, novice or experienced. Dr. Niamtu III, a seasoned cosmetic surgeon and author with impeccable credentials, has gathered a cadre of international cohorts to join in the writing of this text. 

Features  

The author has taken on the gargantuan undertaking of assembling a totally revamped and updated third edition text. Remarkably, this book goes beyond and exceeds editions that have come before. Color photographs and illustrations are well choreographed, insightful, and clear. Likewise, the writing of each chapter is concise, substantially informative, and easily assimilated. The book showcases tried and true procedures that afford a predictable and reproducible outcome, especially since potential complications are part and parcel of any intervention. Of worthwhile note are the references to these unwelcome outcomes and, more importantly, a methodology to either prevent or rehabilitate these obstacles, should they come to fruition. Fifteen chapters form the backbone of this hefty textbook. The book commences with the crux of what these procedures are all about: a salubrious end result and patient satisfaction. Hence, “Diagnosis of the Cosmetic Facial Surgery Patient: The Art of the Consult and the Office Patient Experience” is the premier chapter. Thereafter, subsequent topics delve into face aging; surgery of the face, neck, brows, lids, nose, and ears; facial implants; neuromodulators; fillers of the face and lips; skin resurfacing with lasers and chemical peels; and facial fat reduction or augmentation to round out this treasure trove of information.
