This book offers a concise and practical overview of cardiovascular medicine. It is well written, covers topics from basic anatomy and embryology to advanced specialized therapies, and uses many effective visuals, particularly in the form of medical artwork, to convey information.

This is a thorough yet succinct resource that explains various types of cardiovascular diseases, diagnostic modalities, and therapies. This is achieved by explaining the basic and relevant physiological aspects of each topic, which is helpful for learners as well as seasoned clinicians.

This subspecialty book can be used by a wide audience. It is an excellent resource for physicians and learners at all levels — medical students, residents, fellows and cardiologists, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners practicing in cardiology, or those who are interested in cardiovascular disease.
