Features

This book includes eighteen chapters. The first chapter establishes the basic principles of pathology. The subsequent chapters then take specific categories of ocular pathology and evaluate the entities within each category. There are also a multitude of histological images, photographic images, tables, and graphics throughout the book that highlight important findings for relevant conditions.

Assessment

This book does a great job in accomplishing its goals and will be a useful reference for pathologists and clinicians to approach challenging cases on equal grounds. The text includes many high-quality H&E and special stain images, electro micrographic images, clinical and gross photographs, and graphical tables and drawings when appropriate. The comprehensive descriptions are well formed and laid out with useful interjections added to give added depth to the descriptions. This being the ninth edition, it is clear that much refinement has been applied to the text with the constant advancements and new additions to the field. This book is highly recommended for practicing pathologists and clinicians in ocular pathology as well as trainees interested in the field.
