The editors and authors have intended for this book to be a complete reference for otologic and neurotologic surgery. The chapters cover every conceivable procedure in the field. They also cover other aspects such as surgical instrumentation. Each chapter also delves into the workup of these patients, including preoperative testing. Images are of high quality.
Assessment
This book has become the standard primary reference for otologic surgery, now in its fifth edition. Since its first publication in 1994, the book has continued to improve by adding new material to each edition, including new procedures, technology, and online content. Each new edition is necessary to cover the expanding information in this field. Like all the previous editions, this is an outstanding textbook and one of the primary references for any otologic surgeon, resident, or fellow.
