Abraham Kierszenbaum, MD, PhD is Medical Professor and Chair in the Department of Cell Biology and Anatomy at the Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education at the City College of New York. His primary research interests are in molecular mechanism of spermatid head shaping, with ongoing research focused on the role of non-receptor tyrosine kinases and pyrazolo-pyrimidine-type inhibitors on the development of acrosome, the assembly of the acroplaxome, and the assembly/disassembly of the manchette.
Dr. Kierszenbaum has published extensively in the field, and writes and illustrates the 3rd edition of Histology and Cell Biology: An Introduction to Pathology.
