Anne G. Osborn, MD, FACR is University Distinguished Professor of Radiology at the University of Utah School of Medicine. She holds the William H. and Patricia W. Child Presidential Endowed Chair in Radiology at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. Dr. Osborn is the co-author of Diagnostic Imaging: Brain, 3rd Edition, Imaging in Neurology, Osborn’s Brain, 2nd EditionExpertDDx: Brain and Spine, 2nd Edition, and the author of Year Book of Diagnostic Radiology and Diagnostic Neuroradiology.

Dr. Osborn received her medical degree and did her residency at Stanford University School of Medicine. She performed a fellowship in psychology at Harvard University and a fellowship in neuroradiology at University of Utah. She is board certified in diagnostic radiology and neuroradiology.

An internationally-acclaimed teacher and lecturer, Dr. Osborn is regarded as one of the world’s most prominent neuroradiologists. She is recognized internationally for helping establish the field of neuroradiology, is the author of numerous medical books and journal articles, and is the co-creator of the first comprehensive point-of-care electronic imaging reference system.

Dr. Osborn’s comprehensive teaching textbook, Diagnostic Neuroradiology, won the 1995 American Publishers Association award as the Best Textbook in Clinical Medicine. Her other texts have been equally acclaimed. She was cited as one of the “20 Most Influential” people in radiology by Diagnostic Imaging magazine in 2002 and has been profiled in the widely-read trade publication as one of four innovative educators inspiring a generation of radiologists to excel in research, clinical skill, and leadership. She was the first woman elected president of the American Society of Neuroradiology, and she served as vice-president of the Radiological Society of North America and Chair of the Board of Trustees of the RSNA’s Research and Education Foundation.
