Audrius Bredikis, MD is on staff at Heart Rhythm Associates of Brevard in Rockledge, Florida. He practices cardiac electrophysiology with the Health First Physicians Group and is a member of the medical staffs at Health First Cape Canaveral Hospital in Cocoa Beach, Florida and Health First Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne, Florida. He is also Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Central Florida in Orlando. Dr. Bredikis is the lead author of Cryoablation of Cardiac Arrhythmias.
After graduating from Kaunas Medical University (Lithuania) with distinction, Dr. Bredikis completed five years of clinical training in cardiac surgery at Kaunas Medical University Hospital, the leading institution for arrhythmia surgery in Europe. During that time, along with clinical training, he completed his dissertation in experimental cryoablation and earned his Doctor of Sciences degree. With the shift of arrhythmia surgery to less invasive, transvenous treatment options, Dr. Bredikis did an additional seven years of training in cardiac electrophysiology in Chicago at the Illinois Masonic Medical Center and Rush Presbyterian St. Luke’s Medical Center. He is board certified in both cardiovascular disease and cardiac electrophysiology.
Dr. Bredikis’s professional interests include syncope and cardiac arrhythmias as well as ablation of supraventricular and ventricular tachycardias and atrial fibrillation. His other areas of expertise include pacemaker and defibrillator implantation, programming, and laser extraction of infected, malfunctioning leads. Dr. Bredikis is extensively published, author of more than 60 publications and abstracts in the field of cardiac electrophysiology.
