Bimal Ashar, MD, MBA, is an associate professor of medicine, director of the General Internal Medicine Division, and medical director of the Advanced Medicine Clerkship at Johns Hopkins University. He has authored numerous book chapters and articles in the fields of preventative medicine, dietary supplements, and medical education. He is also an author of the fourth edition of The Johns Hopkins Internal Medicine Board Review.
Dr. Ashar holds an MD from the University of Maryland School of Medicine and an MBA from Johns Hopkins University, and he is board certified in internal medicine. He joined Johns Hopkins University’s medical faculty after working at Case Western Reserve University, where he completed his residency in internal medicine and served as a member of the faculty. Dr. Ashar is active in the Society of General Internal Medicine, and is a fellow of the American College of Physicians.
