Brian D. Coley, MD is a professor in the Departments of Radiology and Pediatrics at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and Radiologist-in-Chief at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. He is editor-in-chief of Caffey’s Pediatric Diagnostic Imaging, 13th Edition and the author of Pediatric Ultrasound, An Issue of Ultrasound Clinics, Parts 1 and 2.
Dr. Coley received his medical degree from the University of California at San Diego, where he also completed his residency and performed a fellowship in imaging research. He completed an additional fellowship in pediatric radiology at Cincinnati Children’s in 1995. He then served as Section Chief of Ultrasound and Assistant Director of Pediatric Radiology at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, returning to Cincinnati Children’s in 2011 to serve as Radiologist-in-Chief. Dr. Coley is board certified in diagnostic radiology and pediatric radiology, and has a particular expertise in pediatric ultrasound.
Dr. Coley serves in leadership roles in many societies, including the Society for Pediatric Radiology, the American College of Radiology, the American Board of Radiology, the American Institute for Ultrasound in Medicine, and the Society of Radiologists in Ultrasound. He serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Pediatric Radiology and the Journal of Ultrasound in Medicine.
