Deborah A. Driscoll, MD, is the Luigi Mastroianni, Jr. Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. She is a co-author of Obstetrics: Normal and Problem Pregnancies, 6th Edition.

Dr. Driscoll received her medical degree from New York University, after which she performed her internship, residency, and fellowship at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. She specializes in obstetrics and reproductive genetics, and is certified in clinical genetics, molecular genetics, and general obstetrics and gynecology.

Dr. Driscoll is the author of numerous publications and is a member of the American College of Medical Genetics, the American Society of Human Genetics, the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, the North American Society of Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology, and the Association of Professors of Gynecology and Obstetrics. Her research involves DiGeorge syndrome, velocardiofacial syndrome, 22q11.2 deletion syndrome, genetic analyses of congenital heart disease, and polycystic ovarian syndrome. Her clinical expertise includes prenatal genetic diagnosis, genetic screening and counseling, adolescent and pediatric gynecology, and polycystic ovary syndrome.

Recognized annually in Philadelphia Magazine’s Top Docs issue every year since 2006, Dr. Driscoll has also been named multiple times on national lists such as Best Doctors in America and U.S. News Top Doctors, where she is placed in the top 1% in her field.
