Eli M. Baron, MD is Clinical Associate Professor of Neurosurgery at Cedars-Sinai and practices neurosurgery at The Spine Center at Cedars-Sinai Institute for Spinal Disorders in Los Angeles. He is a co-author of Operative Techniques: Spine Surgery, 3rd Edition.
After completing a neurosurgical residency at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, Dr. Baron completed his spine fellowship at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. He also received additional training in orthopaedic spine surgery at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia.
Dr. Baron is a member of numerous academic medical and neurosurgical/spine societies including Alpha Omega Alpha and the American Association of Neurological Surgeons. He has published extensively in the fields of spine surgery and neurological surgery, including more than 100 peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters. Dr. Baron has presented both basic and clinical research at many national and international meetings, and has served as an ad hoc reviewer for the Journal of Neurotrauma, Surgical Neurology, the Journal of Stroke, Cerebrovascular Diseases, and Spine.
