Gretchen Lentz, MD is director and professor of urogynecology and adjunct professor of urology within the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Washington, Seattle. She is an author of the sixth edition of Comprehensive Gynecology.
Dr. Lentz holds an MD from the University of Washington, where she also completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology. She furthered her medical training with a fellowship in urogynecology at St. George’s Hospital Medical School in London. Dr. Lentz is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology, and is affiliated with numerous professional organizations, including the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists; the American Uro-Gynecologic Society, where she served on the board of directors; the Seattle Gynecological Society, where she is past president; and the Society of Gynecologic Surgeons.
Dr. Lentz has been recognized for her work in the field with numerous awards and recognitions, including the Best Doctors in America Award, 1995–2010, the Best Doctors in Seattle Award, 1998, 2002, 2006, 2009, the ACOG Recognition Award, Program for Continuing Professional Development, and the APGO/Abbott Medical Education Research Award.
