Henry L. Galan, MD is Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Chief of the Section of Maternal-Fetal Medicine at the University of Colorado, Denver. He is a co-author of Obstetrics: Normal and Problem Pregnancies, 6th Edition.
Dr. Galan received his medical degree from Texas A&M Health Science Center, and performed his post-graduate education at Scott & White Hospital and the University of Texas Health Sciences Center in Houston. He is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology, as well as maternal and fetal medicine.
Dr. Galan specializes in perinatology, with an emphasis in high-risk pregnancy and prenatal diagnosis. His research areas of interest include intrauterine growth restriction, operative vaginal delivery, and ultrasound and prenatal diagnosis.
The recipient of numerous awards, Dr. Galan has been recognized by CREOG and APGO with awards for excellence in teaching. Dr. Galan is a Top Doctor in Denver, and is on Castle Connolly’s Top Doctors list.
