H. Richard Winn, MD is Professor of Neurosurgery and Neuroscience and Director of Research at Mount Sinai School of Medicine. He has made major contributions to clinical research of cerebrovascular disease and is widely recognized for his clinical expertise. He is a founding editor of Neurosurgery Clinics of North America.
Dr. Winn’s major medical research interest focuses on the role of adenosine and cerebral blood flow regulation and his clinical specialty interests are in cerebrovasular diseases, tumors, spine, radiosurgery, and trauma.
Dr. Winn has served on the American Board of Neurological Surgery and on the editorial board of the Journal of Neurosurgery. He is an editor of the four-volume set, Youmans Neurological Surgery, 6th Edition.
