Humphrey P. Rang, MD, PhD, is the Head of Scientific Advisory Board at TheraSci Ltd. After training in medicine, he started his academic career in Oxford, later becoming Professor and Head of the Department of Pharmacology at University College London. He was Director of the Sandoz Institute for Medical Research in London until 1996, when he became global Head of Pharmacology and a member of the Research Management Board at Novartis. He retired in 1999 and now holds various consultant positions in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.

Dr. Rang is co-author of Rang & Dale’s Pharmacology, 7th Edition. It is the most popular pharmacology textbook in the UK and Australia, and the most popular English-language pharmacology textbook in Europe, India, Asia and the Middle East.
