James I. Cohen, MD, PhD, FACS, is a Professor at Oregon Health and Science University’s Otolaryngology Department and is the Chief of the Otolaryngology Service at the Portland VAMC. He has authored more than 100 peer reviewed publications and presented nearly 200 invited lectures. He has served on the editorial board of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery, Archives of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery, and the Head & Neck Surgery Journal. He has also served as guest examiner for the American Board of Otolaryngology and is on the Executive Committee for the International Head & Neck Oncology Group. He is an editor of the Atlas of Head and Neck Surgery.
Dr. Cohen is a member of the American Society of Head & Neck Surgery, American Head & Neck Society, and the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery. He has been honored with the OHSU Cancer Institute’s Robert D. Goldman Award and the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery Distinguished Service Award.
