John C. Banks, PhD, is Associate Professor of Pathology and Human Anatomy at Loma Linda University in California. He is a co-author of the highly regarded and award-winning Atlas of Clinical Gross Anatomy, 2nd Edition.
Until recently, Dr. Banks was Professor of Anatomy at Andrews University in Michigan, where he was a founding member of the Physical Therapy Department. During his 28 years at Andrews, he taught the foundation science courses for the Doctor of Physical Therapy students as well as the Human Anatomy course for pre-med students. Dr. Banks is known for an excellent knowledge of the anatomical sciences and a keen awareness of student needs. His teaching has consistently been given the highest ratings by both students and peers alike, and his enthusiasm in the classroom keeps students both interested and challenged.
