Jon Sekiya, MD is an associate professor of orthopaedic surgery at the University of Michigan Health System. He also serves as team physician for the athletic departments at the University of Michigan and Eastern Michigan University. He specializes in sports medicine, complex shoulder and knee surgery, and hip arthroscopy. He is author of the text Techniques in Hip Arthroscopy and Joint Preservation Surgery and Surgical Techniques of the Shoulder, Elbow, and Knee in Sports Medicine.
Dr. Sekiya earned his MD at Wake Forest University School of Medicine. He is board certified in Orthopedic Surgery and orthopedic sports medicine. He is a recipient of the Cabaud Memorial Award for Excellence in Basic Science/In Vitro Sports Medicine and the Research Award from the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine.
