Joshua A. Copel, MD is a professor of obstetrics, gynecology and reproductive sciences and Vice Chair of Obstetrics at Yale School of Medicine. He is recognized worldwide as an expert in maternal and fetal medicine and in high-risk pregnancy. He is the author of more than 180 peer-reviewed articles, numerous abstracts, and several books. Among his publications is the text Obstetric Imaging, a volume in the Expert Radiology Series.
Dr. Copel’s innovative research efforts have helped advance the field of diagnostic ultrasound. He has received numerous awards for his work in the field, including the Nathan Kase Award for Excellence in Clinical Teaching at Yale, the Dru Carlson Memorial Award for Best Research in Ultrasound and Genetics from the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine, and the William J. Fry Memorial Lecture Award.
