Leslie H. Blumgart, MD has extensive experience in hepatobiliary disease and biliary tract reconstruction and is a leading clinician and educator in the field. He holds the Enid A. Haupt Chair in Surgery and serves as Chief of Hepatobiliary Services at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. He is also a professor of surgery at Cornell University Medical Center.
Dr. Blumgart’s research in the field has positively impacted the field, and increased understanding and management of diseases of the gastrointestinal tract. He has contributed numerous articles to literature in the field, and is an author of Video Atlas: Liver, Biliary & Pancreatic Surgery and Blumgart’s Surgery of the Liver, Biliary Tract and Pancreas. He earned his MD at the University of Sheffield Medical School, and is board certified in surgery.
