Marc Huntoon, MD is Chief of the Division of Pain Medicine within Vanderbilt’s Department of Anesthesiology. He has been acknowledged as one of the nation’s most innovative physicians in the field of pain management. He is a leading researcher in novel spinal biologic therapies and peripheral neuromodulation, and has developed prototypes for pain relieving devices. He serves as editor for several leading journals and is author of the text Spinal Injections & Peripheral Nerve Blocks.
Dr. Huntoon earned his medical degree at Wayne State University School of Medicine, and furthered his medical training in anesthesiology at Portsmouth Naval Medical Center. He also completed a residency in obstetric anesthesia at Wake Forest University.
