Mark W. Anderson, MD is the Harrison Distinguished Teaching Professor of Radiology and Chief of the Division of Musculoskeletal Radiology in the Department of Radiology at the University of Virginia Health System in Charlottesville. He is the co-author of Atlas of Normal Roentgen Variants That May Simulate Disease, 9th Edition and Musculoskeletal MRI, 2nd Edition.
After earning his medical degree from the University of California at Los Angeles in 1983, Dr. Anderson performed a residency in diagnostic radiology at the University of California at Davis, followed by a fellowship in magnetic resonance imaging at the University of California at San Francisco.
Dr. Anderson is board certified in diagnostic radiology, and sub-specializes in vascular and interventional radiology. His clinical and research interests include musculoskeletal disease, orthopaedics, rheumatology, and sports medicine.
