Michael Ragosta, MD is Associate Professor of Medicine and Director of Interventional Cardiology within the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Virginia Health Systems. He has conducted research in the areas of myocardial viability, coronary collateral circulation, coronary flow reserve, and myocardial contrast echocardiography. Dr. Ragosta has authored and co-authored more than 120 peer-reviewed journal articles, book chapters, and scientific abstracts, including the books Cases in Interventional Cardiology, Cardiac Catheterization, and Textbook of Clinical Hemodynamics. Dr. Ragosta is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular diseases, and interventional cardiology.
