Neil S. Norton, PhD is the Director of Admissions, Associate Dean for Student Affairs, and Professor of Oral Biology at Creighton University. He specializes in educating students about gross anatomy, head & neck anatomy, and human neuroscience. He is the author of Netter’s Head and Neck Anatomy for Dentistry, 2nd Edition, a volume in the Netter Basic Science series.
Dr. Norton earned his doctoral degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He is a top educator, having received more than 18 teaching awards at Creighton, including Outstanding Freshman Instructor, the Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Award for Teaching Achievement by the Creighton Student Union — the highest teaching award given by Creighton University. Dr. Norton is also a recipient of the GlaxoSmithKline Sensodyne Teaching Award, the highest national award given by the American Dental Education Association (ADEA).
