Peter Libby, MD is the Mallinckrodt Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and Chief of the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. He has held fellowships in Cellular Physiology at Harvard Medical School and in Cardiology at Peter Bent Brigham Hospital.
His primary research interest is in vascular biology with special focus on atherogenesis. Dr. Libby has been published extensively, and has authored and co-authored hundreds of medical articles and reports. He is co-author of the two-volume set, Braunwald’s Heart Disease: A Textbook of Cardiovascular Medicine, 9th Edition.
