Peter M. Som, MD is Professor of Radiology, Radiation Oncology, and Otolaryngology and the Director of Head and Neck Radiology at Mount Sinai. Dr. Som is recognized as one of the world’s foremost head and neck radiologists and has authored several books and more than 300 health articles on the subject. Among his medical publications is the fifth edition of the text Head and Neck Imaging.

Dr. Som is a founding member and Past President of the American Society of Head and Neck Radiology, and participates as a guest speaker for the Radiological Society of North America and at head and neck imaging conferences throughout the country.  In 2004, he was awarded the American Society of Head and Neck Radiology Gold Medal.
