Interview with Christian de Virgilio, MD and Areg Grigorian, MD
How has the Review of Surgery for ABSITE and Boards evolved since the previous edition?
We have improved the book greatly by ensuring that we cover the latest concepts, surgical diseases and high-yield factoids that are tested on the in-service exam each year. We have added a summary in the beginning of the chapter going over the key concepts to help surgical residents achieve top scores on the ABSITE.
What does the new edition of Review of Surgery for ABSITE and Boards add to the field?
This is an amazing resource to not only help you do well on the ABSITE but to be a clinically competent surgeon. General surgery residents with a track record of outstanding ABSITE performance were selected to be assistant editors and co-authors.
What is the most exciting aspect of the new edition?
The diagrams and the summary of the key-concepts in the beginning of each chapter.
Who will find the greatest value from this book?
All general surgery residents and those who are preparing for the ABS qualifying exam, and/or recertification exam.
