Rahul Jandial, MD, PhD is a renowned neurosurgeon and Assistant Professor in the Division of Neurosurgery at City of Hope. His particular area of expertise is in medical and surgical treatments of cancer affecting the brain, spine, and spinal cord, and he is actively developing surgical devices and investigating the biology of cancer to locate therapies. He is author of Best Evidence for Spine Surgery: 20 Cardinal Cases and Core Techniques in Operative Neurosurgery.
Dr. Jandial holds a PhD from University of California at San Diego and an MD from the University of Southern California. He has been recognized extensively in the field. In 2009 he was named Oncology Scholar by the National Institutes of Health and received the Career Development Award from STOP Cancer Foundation. Dr. Jandial also has received the Brain Tumor Award from the American Brain Tumor Foundation, the Penfield Research Award by the Congress of Neurosurgeons, the Community Service Award and recognition of Excellence in Medicine by the American Medical Association, and the Public Service Award from the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, among many others.
