Roger R. Dmochowski, MD is a Professor with the Department of Urologic Surgery at Vanderbilt University in Nashville and a Clinical Assistant Professor in Surgery with the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the American Urological Association and the International Continence Society. Dr. Dmochowski chairs the American Urological Association’s expert panel that developed the Stress Urinary Incontinence Clinical Guideline.
With a medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, Dr. Dmochowski completed his internship and residency in surgery and urology at the University of Texas Medical School and at the M.D. Anderson Hospital and Tumor Institute in Texas. He received the Zimskind Award from the Urodynamics Society in 1999 for his clinical treatment of incontinence and is featured in several videotapes and CD-ROMS for his management of the disorder. Dr. Dmochowski was also honored by the National Association for Continence with the Rodney Appell Continence Care Champion Award in 2009.
Dr. Dmochowski is the author of Surgery for Urinary Incontinence, a new title in the Female Pelvic Surgery Video Atlas Series, and is author of hundreds of articles, book chapters, and abstracts. He is on the editorial board for the World Journal of Urology, Neurourology and Urodynamics, and the International Journal of Urogynecology, and he is a reviewer for the Journal of Urology, the official journal of the American Urological Association.
