Salim M. Hayek, MD, PhD is Chief of the Division of Pain Medicine at University Hospitals of Cleveland. He also serves as an associate professor of anesthesiology at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine. He is author of the text Neurostimulation for the Treatment of Chronic Pain.
Dr. Hayek received his medical degree from the American University of Beirut, and completed his medical training with an internship and residency in internal medicine at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit and a residency in anesthesiology at the University Hospitals of Cleveland. He also holds a doctorate in Cellular Physiology at Case Western Reserve University. He is board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology and the American Board of Pain Medicine.
